There are more and more people becoming famous thanks to the internet, which has been helping them to launch their careers ever since it was founded. One way people have achieved this is through Vine.
Vine was created in 2013 and is still growing. People continue to join the trend of Vining, which is where they create videos no longer than six seconds about any topic, usually with the aim to make you laugh. Below are three of the top Viners.
Zach King has been creating videos since 2008 and joined Vine when it was founded. He specialises in special effects and what he calls “digital sleight of hand”. He makes what seems the impossible happen, like turning paper into animals in the blink of an eye. Through his Vines and optical illusions, Zach has built up a very good reputation, leading to him being invited to A-list events such as the Oscars, where he showed off even more of his talent.
Another everyday person who became very well-known for his Vines is Thomas Sanders. He is renowned for narrating unsuspecting people's lives, Disney-themed sketches and poking fun at himself. It is the reactions of the people involved that make his clips so good and watchable, as every Vine provides something different to laugh at.
Eh Bee is the first Vine family. They are four Americans who have over three million followers, with videos that include the children addressing day-to-day issues in their own funny way. Their daily family Vines have made them very popular with all ages and walks of life due to them being so relatable. They found a gap in the website and filled it with their humour.
Without the web or social media, this wouldn't have been possible for any of these people. They have all been able to further their career with the internet, in particular a website that limits your video to six seconds without putting boundaries on your fame.
