One of our clients has a company mission that goes way over our heads. Literally. Bakehouse Aerial are based in Hull and take their fleet of drones across the UK, capturing everything from The Royal Armouries to soil farmeries (sorry, that was awful). Their work has been used for a range of applications, including marketing and PR materials for the energy sector, shipping industry, schools, golf courses and the UK City of Culture campaign. Here we have a selection of cracking images taken up to 400 feet above Hull's streets and waterways, showing our city from a whole new angle. When seen from above, a familiar place presents alien juxtapositions of lines and curves, beautifully conflicting colours, and labyrinthine neighbourhoods that would even disorientate a codpiece-wearing David Bowie.
As much as we love taking in the details of our surroundings, sometimes it helps to step waaaaaaay back and put everything into perspective. Find out more about Bakehouse Aerial and show them some love on Facebook and Twitter. Author: Rich Sutherland, @beardybiscuits
