Chloe Ashton is working with The Penguins for a little while and helping us out with lots of bits and bobs. We asked her to introduce herself and tell us why she chose sobananapenguin for work experience.
Hey! I'm Chloe, a third year Psychology student who is studying at the University of Hull – and no, I cannot psychoanalyse you. 😊 Psychology as a degree is very interesting, I am always learning something new and the field is constantly changing through research. The University of Hull is a great place to study as it offers fantastic facilities for learning, as well as having a social life – whether it is for independent learning or booking a room to study with friends.
Although I have been unsure on what pathway I would like to take once I graduate, I have decided that the marketing sector appeals to me. I made this decision as I am a creative individual who enjoyed A-level Art and Design and would love to pursue a career where no two days are the same, whilst simultaneously making a positive impact on individual businesses. Due to this decision I contacted the University’s Careers Team for advice on what steps to take and if they could recommend any companies for work experience, and sobananapenguin was one of the companies recommended.
I chose sobananapenguin as they seemed very quirky, outgoing, and provided a variety of services to learn about. I got in touch with Rich, who offered me remote work experience due to the current situation - woohoo!
Out of university, my interests include horse riding, ice skating and spending time with my two pups – HUGE animal lover. I enjoy day trips out exploring and adventuring, going on cruises abroad, and spending time with my fam and friends.
