As Yorkshire's biggest LGBTQ+ event, you can always depend on Pride in Hull to be a lively, friendly and incredibly technicoloured celebration of diversity, acceptance and friendship. Following an awesome day in Queen's Gardens, the Penguins wanted to share a few words about why Pride in Hull is important to them.
"It’s great to see the people of Hull come together to celebrate diversity. The city became so vibrant in the run-up to the event, with tons of local businesses getting involved. My Instagram feed was full of rainbows and glitter beards! Hull should be proud."
Emma, Graphic Designer
"As a member of Hull’s LGBTQ+ community myself, putting on a yearly event as big as Pride in Hull is special to me as it shows that no matter what happens, I’ll always have a large and vibrant community in my hometown that loves and accepts me (and everyone else) for who I am. Plus, I’ll take any opportunity to get absolutely covered in glitter!"
Sam, Marketing Officer
"Variety is the spice of life, and what better way to discover the social world around you than a shared celebration filled with balloons, laughter and crazy costumes? Pride in Hull is more essential today than ever before, so it's fantastic to see the efforts of its team of volunteers prove such a hit."
Rich, Managing Director
